Our academic curriculum consists of language, math, practical life, art, sensorial, geography, cultural subjects, and we include daily Spanish, computer educational programs, music and woodworking. Extra-curricular classes are offered such as dance and music. We offer a Montessori toddler program and two five-week Summer sessions.

Our Montessori Toddler curriculum consists of practical life, art, sensorial, toddler Montessori materials, art, language, numerals, cultural, music and movement. Extra-curricular music and gym bus are offered. We offer a Summer program in two five-week Summer sessions.
Registration Fee and Contract are due with the child's Enrollment Application. The school year tuition may either be paid in full or paid in ten (10) installment payments. The first and tenth payment are due by August 1, 2010. Subsequent tuition installment payments will be October through May. Tuition installment payments are due on the first of each month. There will be a late charge of $25 if payment is not received by the 5th. Checks returned by the bank are subject to a $25 fee. Tuition not received by the 15th of the month, will release the child from school. Tuition paid in full may receive a 5% discount if paid by August 1, 2010.
Child care is available each day from 7:30-8:30 a.m., and 2:45-6:00 p.m., for a monthly rate (please refer to the registration form for childcare fee schedule). Drop-in child care will be a charge of $4.50 per hour. Arrangements shall be made in advance. Pick-up for children who do not stay for child care will be 2:30-2:45 p.m. for the South classroom and 2:45-3:00 for the Center classroom. A late fee of $1.00 per minute will be charged after 1:00, 2:45, 3:00 and 6:00 p.m., for non-child care children depending on your child’s regular pick-up schedule.
The Montessori School of La Jolla has a School Calendar for holidays. Tuition and monthly childcare, however, is prorated so that these holidays are not charged for. No deductions, make-ups or refunds can be made during the school year for illness, holidays, vacations, withdrawal, late entrance, or other absences. If a child is withdrawn for any reason, refunds cannot be made unless said withdrawal is made at the specific request of the school. Your child is placed for a full school year, September through the last school day in June.
Parents will provide lunch and a cloth placemat each day in a lunch box. Nutritious snacks are provided in the morning, afternoon and during child care. Parent participation is appreciated with our healthy snack program. Children may not have sweats, candy, cookies at school for snack or lunch. We encourage that children eat healthy, nutritious foods only.
